Thinking Chef Season 2 Ep 1 - Stay fit & healthy. Korean Banchan, the Healthier Choice!

Welcome to Season 2! For this episode we have our fitness chef prepare three healthy traditional Korean side dishes. These side dishes are fast to prepare and easy to make.




Sook Ju Na Mul Muchim (Seasoned bean sprouts) ingredients

300g Bean Sprouts

1 big clove Garlic (Pressed)

1 tbsp Spring Onion (chopped thinly)

1 tbsp Sesame Oil

1 tsp Sesame Seeds (crushed)

1tsp Salt

1tbsp Light Soy Sauce For Blanching

4 Cups Water

1 tbsp Salt


Mu Chae-muchim (Shredded seasoned radish) ingredients

1 medium size Radish

½ cup Coarse salt

½ cup Korean chili powder

2 sprig Spring onion (chopped fine)

5 tbsp White vinegar

2 tbsp Light soy sauce

1 tbsp Fish sauce

1/ cup Sugar

3 cloves Garlic (pressed)


Si Guem Chi Muchim (Seasoned spinach) ingredients

250g Spinach

2 cloves Garlic (pressed)

1 tbsp Spring Onion (chopped thinly)

2 tbsp Sesame Oil

2 tsp Sesame Seeds (crushed)

1 tbsp Light Soy Sauce

1 pinch Salt For Blanching

5 Cups Water

2 tbsp Salt
