In this part 2 of the CNY special, our Thinking Chef works with Andrea DeCruz to make a healthier version of one of the most popular and auspicious snack for the Lunar New Year, pineapple tarts. We will show you how to make this snack with simple and easy to follow-up steps.


Ingredients for Pineapple Tarts

Pineapple Jam

1 whole ripened Malaysia pineapple

2 tbsp. brown sugar

6 – 8 cloves

1 cinnamon stick


Pastry dough

2 ½ cups of top flour

2 pinches of salt

225g of unsalted butter

1 egg yolk
